Come to SREIA Tuesday to Learn More!

Presented by:

Jerry Davies, SREIA Speaker

Topics Covered: • Asset Protection and Entity Selection • Top 3 audit proof techniques most people are not aware of • Some Pitfalls for the investor to avoid

Do we investors have the setup strategy for our real estate business or are we losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars that could be going into our bank account?

Are we aware there are options available to us that could save us from stress and worry that we could easily avoid?

We should know helpful tips for success regarding real estate, but shouldn't we also know valuable information on what to avoid to keep ourselves worry-free?

There is so much to know in the real estate business including federal taxes and approaching the IRS in a way that is as favorable to us as possible.

Come to the General Meeting Tuesday and find our how. We welcome questions so you may learn of the best benefits available to you.

Jerry Davies is a CPA and shareholder with Davies & Kerr Consulting, Inc, an accounting, tax and consulting firm. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Accounting. He has 40 years of experience, working with individuals and small businesses on the most advantageous way to set up the accounting for their business using the most automated technology. Tax planning is also a big part of the equation because taxes are the second largest expense for most businesses.

Jerry started out as a real estate investor buying his first investment property at age 19 and purchasing millions of dollars in property by his early twenties. The proper structuring of real estate deals is critical to maximizing profit, because the tax laws are complicated, constantly changing and are such a large percentage of the equation.

A prior Realtor and real estate investor for over 30 years helped develop a keen understanding of the proper structuring of real estate deals to minimize or eliminate taxes, maximize profit, and safe guard your assets.

Memberships: of AICPA, prior director for Suncoast Toastmasters and North Tampa Chamber of Commerce, director Suncoast Real Estate Investors Association and is a Quickbooks Certified Professional Advisor.

"Round Table Idea Sharing"

Drawing Showing People excitedly engaged in discussion

Presented by: SREIA

Bring any properties you have for sale or a description of any properties you are looking to buy.

We periodically hold brainstorming meetings and have found these to be very popular. Those attending have found them informative and helpful, full of different investors' opinions and valuable advice. Members and guests share their good successes and bad disasters and help each other to do things right the first time (hopefully) and to avoid pitfalls. This interaction is valuable, especially if you are new to real estate investing or experienced and ready to learn what works for others.

Some ideas for discussion can be, but are not limited to: tenant problems, i.e., notices to evict or cure; collecting money during eviction; rehabbing a house to retail-ready condition; repair or re-roof; should the kitchen stay or go; preventing a/c theft; experiences with options; marketing to sell quickly; foreclosures / short sales; wholesaling, flipping, contractors, code enforcement; and much more.

Bring your experiences to answer other’s questions and bring your questions that others may provide answers.
